As the first day of April unfolds, we wanted to update you with our top 5 milestones from a fantastic first quarter of 2024.
5 Highlights from Q1:
- 🚀 We officially kicked off our crowdfunding campaign: With less than a month left in our round, we’ve already raised $693,000+ from 187 investors, blowing well past our initial milestones. - 🤝 Zette was admitted to the 2024 AI Startups Program at the Mila Institute: With access to funding, resources, and talent from MILA’s AI research community, we’re greatly accelerating our mission to democratize access to information. Our collaboration with Mila will bring us a long way towards our goal of mobilizing AI to redefine how news is consumed.
- 💻 We began product development on Zette AI: Led by my AI co-founder Mo Samsami, we’re working on a four-part algorithm designed to recommend, summarize, interact with, and contextualize the news. Our goal is to release an early beta of our AI product later this year.
- 🗞️ Zette got tons of media coverage: Thanks to the success of our WeFunder campaign, not only have our press releases been syndicated by the likes of NBC, but we’ve also gotten shout-outs in notable newsletters like The Morning Brew, The Daily Peel, and TheSkimm.
- ✍️ We’re negotiating deals with upcoming publishers: We’re securing partnerships with several highly requested titles for Zette. While we can’t name names just yet, let’s just say that we’re about to expand our network of publishers significantly this year — and we’re just as excited as you are!
